In the wake of the Lord’s Resistance Army conflict, Northern Uganda faced not just physical rebuilding - but a deep need for peace, leadership, and sustainable recovery. Voluntary Initiative Support Organisation (VISO)  was born in 2005 from the belief that communities can rebuild themselves when given support, resources, and a shared vision. What started as a volunteer-led response has grown into a long-term development organization shaping lives across the Acholi subregion.
