About the event

Themed Art of Resilience, Watwero invites organizations, businesses, brands, cultural institutions, NGOs, creatives, community leaders, the audience and participants to reflect on healing, justice and the human capacity to recover. Holding dialogues on peace building, memory and role of the Art in reconciliation.


Inviting the world to acknowledge the over 17 years since the mild silence of the gun in Northern Uganda, a period after 20 years of the political, colonial and ethnic inspired war in the region. Through

-traditional and contemporary multi disciplinary performances,

-Dialogues,

-craft market and workshops,

we seek thus to become both a remembrance and a celebration, a safe space to acknowledge the ones lost, honor survival, transformation, and the unbroken human spirit that continues to create beauty from pain.
